La imagen fue tomada por el fotógrafo oficial Pete Souza en Camp David (Maryland) el pasado 4 de agosto, coincidiendo con el 51 cumpleaños del presidente. No es fácil ver al presidente de una nación practicar aficiones como la caza o la pesca en estos días que corren, a sabiendas de la avalancha de críticas que le pueden venir encima, y es que ¿se imagina alguien a Rajoy participando en una montería y posando con las piezas abatidas? O algo más ???light??? incluso, simplemente como Barack Obama, tirando al plato.

Sea como fuere, me parece un paso acertado y digno de elogiar en una persona a la que escuchan millones de personas en el planeta y que es una de las personas más influyentes del mundo.

No se trata sólo de ser cazadores o no serlo, puesto que es de todos conocido que muchos de los políticos españoles son aficionados a la caza aunque nunca lo digan en público ni se les vea en fotos practicándolo. Se trata de además de serlo, dar la cara y mostrarse practicando una actividad que practican millones de personas alrededor del mundo y de la que deberían sentirse orgullosos, y nunca avergonzados.
Mucho tienen que aprender nuestros políticos de gente como Obama, que apoyan la caza sin tapujos, que saben lo que supone y lo que representa, la respetan y al menos muestran interés en conocerla, por todo ello, bien hecho Barack, como dirían los yanquis: ???Well Done, Barack???.
